For owner and Chef India Jackson, food was the foundation of her family gatherings. She can vividly remember waking up to the smell of her grandmother, Veronica, fixing a hot breakfast complete with homemade apple sauce. Sundays were spent with extended family dining on some of the best southern cuisine you would ever taste.
This is the driving force behind V’s kitchen – to bring back that joy of food and fellowship. Inspired by her grandmother and mother, April, India pursued her dream by opening V’s Kitchen in 2011. V’s offers fresh southern-style food and an inviting atmosphere. Fresh ingredients are transformed into family favorites such as fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and even scratch-made desserts.
